Role Description This full-time, on-site Specification Engineer role is based in New Delhi.

The Specification

Engineer is responsible for developing, reviewing, and maintaining technical specifications for Rawlplug India’s fastening and fixing solutions, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and customer requirements. Daily tasks include collaborating with design, sales, and project teams to translate project needs into clear product specifications, preparing technical documentation, designs, and supporting governmental approvals. The role also involves conducting site visits and technical meetings with clients, providing specification guidance to architects, consultants, and contractors, and delivering product presentations and trainings.

The Specification

Engineer will monitor industry codes and regulations, recommend updates to specifications, and support continuous improvement of technical documentation and internal processes.

Qualifications

- Strong technical background in engineering (civil, mechanical, or related field) with the ability to interpret drawings, standards, and construction specifications.




- Experience in preparing and reviewing technical specifications, ideally within construction, building materials, or fastening systems.
- Proficiency in relevant design and documentation tools (e.g., CAD software, MS Office, PDF markup tools) for creating and managing specification documents.
- Knowledge of local and international building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to fastening and fixing solutions.
- Effective communication and presentation skills for interacting with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and detail-orientation skills to ensure accuracy and consistency in specifications.
- Ability to work on-site, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and collaborate in cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; prior experience in specification engineering or technical support is an advantage.
- Comfort with client-facing activities such as site visits, technical meetings, and training sessions.
