Job Title : Senior Venture Coach (SVC) – Venture Development Centre

Job Location : Visakhapatnam

Roles and Responsibilities

● Lead the coaching and mentoring of high-potential student, faculty, alumni and external startup teams across VDC pre-incubation and incubation programmes.

● Own assigned ventures and ensure completion of programme milestones, deliverables, reviews, documentation, evaluation criteria and graduation requirements.

● Guide founders from idea stage to prototype, customer discovery, business-model validation, market testing, go-to-market readiness and investment preparedness.

● Guide Venture Coaches and team members on venture reviews, milestone tracking, founder engagement, mentor coordination and programme execution.

● Scout, evaluate and onboard promising innovations, research outcomes, faculty- led ideas, student ventures, alumni startups and external startups for VDC programmes.

● Design and conduct venture review meetings, founder clinics, validation sprints, pitch preparation sessions, bootcamps, workshops and masterclasses.

● Actively utilise the Venture Mentor Network, makerspace, industry partners, investors and other ecosystem resources for the benefit of venture teams.

● Build and manage partnerships with mentors, investors, corporates, government agencies, incubation partners, academic units and ecosystem enablers.

● Maintain venture data, progress reports, impact documentation, dashboards and stakeholder records, and represent VDC in relevant ecosystem platforms as required.

● Ability to coach early-stage founders with empathy, structure, clarity and accountability.

● Strong understanding of entrepreneurship, innovation, incubation, venture building and startup ecosystem development.

● Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, networking and problem-solving skills.

● Proactive, organised and outcome-oriented; able to manage multiple ventures, programmes and partnerships simultaneously.

● Robust team player who can guide junior colleagues and collaborate with the wider VDC coaching fraternity.

Education & Experience

● Applicants must possess either (i) a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or (ii) a Master’s degree/MBA with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

● Relevant experience should be in entrepreneurship ecosystem development, startup incubation, venture building, accelerator programmes, corporate innovation, innovation management, partnerships, investment readiness, technology commercialisation or related roles.

● Prior experience in an educational institution, university incubation centre, research organisation, accelerator, venture studio, corporate innovation team or government- supported entrepreneurship programme will be preferred.

● Strong exposure to early-stage startups, founder coaching, business-model validation, market discovery, mentoring networks and investor readiness is desirable.
