About the Role

We are looking for a highly capable Senior Technical Lead who can operate as a hands-on engineer, technical leader, and solution architect.

This is a broad player-coach role rather than a traditional people-management position. You will work across software development, architecture, technical leadership, troubleshooting, prototyping, and customer-facing technical discussions.

The ideal candidate is comfortable taking ambiguous and complex problems from definition through production while working across a contemporary technology stack.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead hands-on development and solve complex engineering and production problems.
- Design, review, debug, and optimize backend, frontend, data, integrations, and distributed systems.
- Own or guide end-to-end architecture for complex product and customer requirements.
- Make sound decisions around scalability, reliability, security, performance, maintainability, and cost.
- Translate ambiguous business and technical requirements into clear designs and implementation plans.
- Lead architecture and design reviews and identify technical risks early.
- Use AI-assisted development tools, LLMs, agentic workflows, retrieval, tool calling,



evaluations, and MCP-based integrations.
- Lead engineering teams while remaining capable of contributing directly to implementation.
- Mentor engineers and improve engineering standards around code quality, testing, observability, security, and maintainability.
- Lead technical discussions with customers and collaborate with product, engineering, QA, data science, manufacturing, deployment, and customer-success teams.
- Drive initiatives from problem definition through implementation, deployment, validation, and stabilization.
- Improve engineering velocity through automation, CI/CD, testing, observability, and developer tooling.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 8–12+ years of software engineering experience with significant hands-on development and technical leadership.
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, programming, concurrency, networking, databases, and system design.
- Strong production experience with at least two of Python, Java, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with APIs, databases, asynchronous/event-driven systems, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of architecture, testing, source control, CI/CD, observability, security, and production troubleshooting.
- Practical experience with AI coding tools and LLM-powered applications, retrieval, tool use, evaluations, and safeguards.




- Proven ability to work as both a senior individual contributor and technical/team lead.
- Strong ownership, problem-solving ability, and comfort working with incomplete information.
- Excellent written, verbal, and customer-facing communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in industrial/manufacturing, IIoT, CNC/CAM, edge computing, machine-data, or hardware-connected software.
- Experience in regulated, security-sensitive, safety-conscious, or mission-critical environments.
- Exposure to Go, React, Flutter, AWS, real-time systems, streaming architectures, or data-intensive applications.
- Experience taking products or platforms from early-stage architecture through production scale.
- Startup or high-growth technology company experience.
