This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior SAP BW / BDC Developer (Data Engineer – SAP Data & BI) (m/f/d) based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to shape scalable data and business intelligence solutions within a global technology environment. You will work across the full data lifecycle, from ingestion and transformation to modeling and reporting. The position combines hands-on data engineering with SAP-focused analytics and business intelligence.

You’ll contribute to reliable data flows across SAP and non-SAP systems while improving performance and data quality. Collaboration with business stakeholders and analytics teams will be central to translating requirements into effective technical solutions. Accountabilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain data models and scalable data pipelines within SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere.
- Build and support end-to-end business intelligence solutions covering data modeling, ETL, data transformation, and reporting.
- Integrate data from SAP and non-SAP sources using appropriate data integration techniques, including BDC, while ensuring reliable and scalable data flows.
- Deliver clean, structured, and trusted datasets that support reporting, analytics, and business decision-making.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data loads, transformations, queries, and overall platform performance.





- Translate business and analytics requirements into robust technical designs in collaboration with stakeholders and data teams.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering, warehousing, and BI processes across the organization.

Requirements:

- 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or business intelligence development.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience with SAP BW on HANA and SAP Datasphere.
- 3–5 years of experience developing data warehouses or data infrastructure solutions.
- Practical experience with SAP data integration techniques, including BDC.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end BI solutions, including data modeling, ETL/data pipelines, reporting, and analytics.

- Strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of data structures and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience working with large datasets and applying performance optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with reporting platforms such as Power BI or Business Objects is an advantage.

- Basic knowledge of ABAP is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Comfortable collaborating with business stakeholders, analytics teams, and technical colleagues in a global workplace.
