Role Description The Senior Phaco / Refractive Surgeon is responsible for performing advanced cataract (phacoemulsification) and refractive surgeries, including LASIK and related procedures, in an on-site setting in Hyderabad. Day-to-day tasks include conducting detailed pre-operative assessments, confirming diagnoses, counseling patients on treatment options, and performing surgeries with high clinical precision and safety. The role involves overseeing post-operative care, managing complications, collaborating with ophthalmologists and support staff, and contributing to clinical protocols and quality assurance.

The surgeon will also participate in case discussions, training junior clinicians,



and supporting continuous improvement in surgical outcomes. This is a full-time, in office position.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Medicine with comprehensive clinical assessment and patient management skills.
- Extensive expertise in Ophthalmology and Surgery, specifically in phacoemulsification and refractive procedures such as LASIK and related techniques.
- Relevant exposure to other surgical domains (e.g., Orthopedic Surgery, Plastic Surgery) is beneficial for multidisciplinary collaboration and complex case understanding.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology (MS / MD / DNB or equivalent), with valid registration from the appropriate medical council.
- Significant hands-on experience performing high-volume phaco and refractive surgeries with documented clinical outcomes.
- Proficiency in using modern ophthalmic diagnostic and surgical equipment, and adherence to evidence-based clinical protocols.
- Strong communication skills, ethical patient care approach, and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development, participation in clinical audits, and willingness to mentor junior medical staff.
