Responsibilities

- ESG Strategy, Governance &
- Roadmap
- Support development and deployment of the ESG roadmap for the Copper Manufacturing Complex aligned with business priorities, regulatory expectations, and group sustainability commitments.
- Coordinate plant-level ESG governance forums, action trackers, review mechanisms, and management reporting.
- Translate ESG goals into function-wise initiatives across operations, maintenance, projects, procurement, HR, safety, environment, and community development.
- Track ESG risks, opportunities, commitments, and improvement plans through structured governance and escalation mechanisms.
- Support ESG policy deployment, awareness, and integration into business decision-making and operating routines.
- Sustainability Reporting, Data Management &
- Assurance
- Lead collection, validation, consolidation, and reporting of ESG data across environmental, social, and governance parameters.
- Support preparation of BRSR, sustainability report, integrated report, ESG dashboards, customer disclosures, investor queries, and internal leadership updates.
- Maintain ESG evidence repositories, audit trails, source documents, and data ownership matrices for assurance readiness.
- Coordinate with Group ESG, finance, setting, HR, safety, procurement, legal, and operations teams for timely and accurate disclosures.
- Drive digitalization of ESG data capture, validation workflows, dashboards, and performance analytics.
- Environmental Performance &
- Climate Action
- Monitor ESG-linked environmental indicators including energy intensity, water consumption, emissions, waste generation, hazardous waste management, biodiversity, and resource efficiency.
- Coordinate climate action initiatives such as GHG inventory, decarbonization projects, renewable energy adoption, energy efficiency, circularity, and carbon reduction programs.
- Support compliance and performance monitoring related to environmental consents, statutory submissions, and sustainability commitments.




- Identify improvement opportunities in water stewardship, waste minimization, material recovery, by-product utilization, and responsible operations.
- Prepare environmental and climate performance insights for monthly and quarterly business reviews.
- Social Responsibility, Stakeholder Engagement &
- Supply Chain ESG
- Coordinate ESG inputs related to employee well-being, safety performance, diversity, inclusion, human rights, grievance mechanisms, learning, and community development.
- Work with HR, CSR, Safety, Admin, and Community Relations teams to strengthen social performance indicators and reporting quality.
- Support supplier and contractor ESG engagement, responsible sourcing initiatives, code of conduct deployment, and value-chain ESG data collection.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement documentation, materiality inputs, ESG awareness sessions, and culture-building interventions.
- Ensure timely response to customer ESG questionnaires, audits, and sustainability-related due diligence requirements.
- Governance, Risk, Compliance &
- Continuous Improvement
- Strengthen ESG controls, review processes, documentation discipline, and internal assurance mechanisms across the complex.
- Track regulatory developments, ESG standards, disclosure frameworks, rating agency expectations, and benchmark practices relevant to heavy manufacturing and metals sector.
- Conduct ESG gap assessments, internal reviews, mock audits, and action-closure monitoring to improve audit readiness.
- Prepare leadership presentations on ESG progress, risks, mitigation plans, and improvement opportunities.




- Build succession readiness by developing working knowledge of ESG strategy, reporting, plant operations, stakeholder management, and governance processes.

Qualifications

- B.E./B.Tech in Environmental Engineering, Chemical, Metallurgy, Mechanical, Energy, Sustainability, or related discipline.
- MBA / PG Diploma / Master’s degree in Sustainability, ESG, Environmental Management, Climate Change, or related discipline will be preferred.
- 10–15 years of experience in ESG, Sustainability, Environment, Climate Action, EHS, Compliance, or Responsible Business functions in metals, mining, chemical, refinery, power, infrastructure, or heavy manufacturing industries.
- Minimum 4–6 years of exposure to ESG reporting sustainability disclosures, environmental performance tracking, stakeholder engagement, audit readiness, and cross-functional project management.
