Role Description:

This is a full time, on-site Senior/Lead Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Test Engineer role based in Hyderabad. The role involves leading the development, implementation, and optimization of ATE programs for semiconductor devices, including test plan creation, test vector development, and characterization for production and validation. The engineer will collaborate closely with design, product, and manufacturing teams to define test requirements, improve test coverage, support yield improvement, and resolve test-related issues in NPI and high-volume production.

Daily responsibilities include debugging test failures, analyzing data, driving continuous improvement in test methodologies, documenting test procedures, and mentoring junior engineers on best practices.



The role also requires adherence to quality standards, support for customer requirements, and active participation in project planning and technical reviews.

Qualifications:

- Strong expertise with minimum 10 Years in ATE platforms (e.g., Teradyne, Advantest, or similar), including test program development, debug, and optimization for digital, analog, and mixed-signal devices.
- Solid understanding of semiconductor test engineering fundamentals, including DFT concepts, test coverage, characterization, correlation, and production test flows.
- Understanding of DFT/Scan/ATPG/JTAG(IEEE1149.1)/IJATAG(IEEE1687) and TAP controller
- Knowledge on Boundary scan(BC_1, BC_2 Cells).
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages commonly used in test development (such as C/C++, Python, or similar), and ability to automate test processes and data analysis.
- Experience working with SoCs, ASICs, or complex ICs, including hands-on involvement in NPI, ramp-up, and high-volume manufacturing support.
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret test results, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions and yield improvements.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills, with experience working in cross-functional engineering teams and providing technical leadership or mentorship.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in semiconductor test engineering.
