Role responsibilities
Handle end-to-end import and export logistics for raw materials, consumables, machinery, and finished goods.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, CHA/custom brokers, transporters, and port authorities for timely shipment clearance and delivery.
Manage logistics activities under EOU regulations and ensure compliance with Customs, DGFT, GST, and EXIM procedures.
Maintain and reconcile shipping and customs documents such as Bill of Entry, Shipping Bill, ARE/LUT, re-warehousing certificates, bond registers, and EOU returns.
Oversee private bonded warehouse activities, inventory movement, and reconciliation with ERP and customs records.
Handle EPCG-related imports, installation certificates, export obligation documentation, and coordination with DGFT consultants/internal teams.
Manage freight contracts, vendor performance, transporter coordination, and cost-effective shipment planning.




Plan and monitor domestic transportation, dispatch schedules, customer deliveries, and inter-unit transfers.
Update logistics transactions in ERP and generate MIS reports related to freight cost, inventory movement, shipment status, and compliance.
Drive logistics process improvements, warehouse efficiency, SOP implementation, and freight cost optimization.
Required experience
8 to 12 years of experience in logistics, import-export operations, and supply chain management in a manufacturing workplace.
Hands-on exposure to EOU operations, EPCG scheme, bonded warehouse procedures, customs compliance, freight forwarding, and domestic transportation.
Required skills
Robust knowledge of Customs, DGFT, GST, and EXIM regulations.
Experience in coordinating with freight forwarders, CHAs, shipping lines, and transporters.
Valuable understanding of Incoterms and international shipping procedures.
