Flychem is looking for an experienced Chemical Engineer with robust hands-on expertise in both batch reaction engineering and continuous flow chemistry. The role requires the ability to develop, scale up, troubleshoot, and commercialize chemical processes using the most suitable reactor technology.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and optimize chemical processes using batch, semi-batch, and continuous-flow reactors.
- Convert suitable batch processes into continuous-flow processes.
- Select reactor configurations based on reaction kinetics, heat transfer, mass transfer, pressure, safety, and throughput.
- Perform calculations for residence time, reactor sizing, kinetics, conversion, selectivity, pressure drop, heat transfer, and mass/energy balances.
- Scale up processes from laboratory to pilot and commercial production.
- Improve yield, selectivity, productivity, cycle time, solvent consumption, and energy efficiency.
- Work with exothermic, endothermic, catalytic, gas-liquid, liquid-liquid, and multiphase reactions.
- Support PFD, P&ID;, HAZOP, equipment selection, commissioning, troubleshooting, and process safety.
- Coordinate with R&D;, production, engineering, QA/QC, EHS, and equipment vendors.
- Identify opportunities for process intensification and continuous manufacturing.

Academic Qualification

- Essential: B.Tech / B.E. in Chemical Engineering.
- Preferred: M.Tech / M.E. in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Reaction Engineering, Process Engineering, Process Intensification, or Chemical Process Design.
- Candidates with M.Sc. Chemistry may be considered only where they have substantial industrial experience in reaction engineering, reactor scale-up, and continuous-flow processing.

Relevant Industry Experience

- Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial experience, preferably in Specialty Chemicals | Fine Chemicals | Agrochemicals | Pharmaceutical Intermediates | APIs | Cosmetic Ingredients | Performance Chemicals.
- Lab-to-pilot-to-commercial scale-up experience is strongly preferred.
