Senior Manager – UK Strategic Bid Centre

About the Role

Join Mercer's Commercial Enablement Centre of Excellence to drive bid strategy and win high-value business for our UK Retirements & Investments Advisory team. You'll manage end-to-end RFP responses and pitch presentations, collaborating with global teams to deliver compelling proposals that showcase Mercer's unique differentiators.

What You'll Do

· Lead complex RFI/RFP submissions from inception to delivery, managing timelines and cross-functional stakeholder engagement

· Develop comprehensive win plans and tailored client value propositions with senior Commercial and delivery teams

· Manage virtual bid teams, ensuring the right skills mix to maximize bid success

· Analyze RFPs and client documentation to identify opportunities, competitive landscape, and risks

· Oversee proposal content development, ensuring brand alignment and compelling "why us" messaging

· Conduct final reviews with Commercial leaders to ensure quality, compliance, and strategic alignment

· Maintain proposal databases, manage content version control, and extract best practice insights

What You Bring

· 8-10 years of experience in bid/proposal management in professional services

· Proven track record of managing complex, high-value bids under tight deadlines

· Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills

· Advanced written and verbal communication with excellent editing capabilities

· Ability to analyze client requirements and craft tailored, compelling proposals

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

· Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Commerce

· Resilient, adaptable,



and able to manage competing priorities effectively

Nice to Have

· Experience with proposal management tools (Commercialforce, QorusDocs, Loopio, SharePoint)

· Knowledge of financial markets or investments

· Direct experience managing senior internal stakeholders

· Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
