NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.

An exciting prospect has arisen for an experienced and motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) with a specialist interest in frailty to join our team at Caithness General Hospital.

This is a rewarding role for a skilled practitioner who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care to older adults. You will play a key role in assessing, managing, and improving outcomes for patients living with frailty, contributing to the development of responsive, sustainable services in a remote and rural healthcare setting.

We are looking for an individual with significant experience in frailty assessment and management, a strong commitment to improving care and outcomes for older people, an understanding of the challenges and opportunities within remote and rural healthcare, knowledge of current national strategies and best practice relating to the care of older adults, and excellent clinical, communication, and leadership skills.

We can offer the opportunity to shape and develop frailty services locally, ongoing support for your continuous professional development, strong links with NHS Highland Advanced Nursing forums and professional networks, a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team environment, and the chance to make a meaningful difference to patients and communities in Caithness.

If you are an enthusiastic and forward-thinking ANP looking to make an impact in a unique and rewarding setting, we would love to hear from you.

This is a full-time permanent post working 36 hours per week as per service requirements For informal enquiries please contact Eddie Gilmartin RGH Hospital Manager, [email protected]
