Overview

The SAP SCM Lead will own the design, implementation, governance, and continuous optimization of SAP MM, WM, and EWM solutions across procurement, inventory, warehouse, and logistics operations. The role will drive process standardization, regulatory compliance, warehouse digitalization, and supply chain excellence across manufacturing sites.

The role will ensure seamless integration with SAP PP, QM, SD, PM, MES, LIMS, serialization, and other enterprise applications while supporting SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives and regulated pharmaceutical operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead solution design, implementation, and support for SAP MM, WM, and EWM across supply chain and manufacturing processes.
- Act as the functional lead for MM/WM/EWM workstreams during SAP S/4HANA, RISE, warehouse transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work with Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Warehouse Operations, Engineering, and Plant stakeholders to identify process improvements and digital transformation opportunities.
- Manage end-to-end procurement, inventory management, warehouse management, and internal logistics processes across manufacturing and distribution locations.
- Configure and support SAP MM, WM, and EWM processes, including:
- Procurement and Inventory Management
- Goods Receipt and Goods Issue
- Batch Management
- Stock Transfers
- Putaway and Picking Strategies
- Physical Inventory
- Warehouse Replenishment
- Cycle Counting
- Warehouse Monitoring and Reporting

- Lead SAP EWM process design covering inbound, outbound, internal warehouse movements, wave management, resource management,



RF solutions, and warehouse automation integration.
- Ensure compliant management of pharmaceutical inventory, including batch traceability, batch genealogy, FEFO/FIFO, shelf-life expiration management, quarantine stock, released stock, rejected stock, and recall support processes.
- Ensure seamless integration between SAP MM/EWM and PP, QM, SD, PM, MES, LIMS, serialization systems, and third-party logistics providers.
- Support MES/EBR integration initiatives to enable automated material staging, dispensing, consumption posting, warehouse transactions, and inventory reconciliation.
- Ensure SAP solutions comply with GMP, GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Lead validation lifecycle activities, including URS, FS, DS, IQ, OQ, PQ, change controls, CAPA support, and audit readiness activities.
- Collaborate with technical, Basis, and integration teams on API, IDOC, SAP CPI/BTP, EDI, and middleware-based integrations.
- Prepare functional specifications, test scripts, SOPs, validation documentation, user manuals, training materials, and compliance-related documentation.
- Establish master data processes for Materials, Vendors, Storage Locations, Warehouses, Bins, Batch Attributes, and Inventory Controls.
- Support issue resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives with working knowledge of debugging, interfaces,



and SAP technical architecture.
- Lead user training, competency development, and knowledge transfer activities for business and IT teams.
- Work on warehouse digitalization initiatives including barcode scanning, RF devices, mobility solutions, warehouse automation, and future smart warehouse capabilities.

Required Qualifications

- 10 years of SAP experience with strong hands-on expertise in SAP MM, WM, and EWM.
- At least 5 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience leading end-to-end SAP MM/WM/EWM implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and support programs.
- Robust experience in SAP S/4HANA, SAP EWM, RISE with SAP, and warehouse transformation initiatives.
- Deep understanding of pharmaceutical supply chain processes, including batch-managed inventory, material traceability, warehouse compliance, quality stock management, and product lifecycle controls.
- Strong experience integrating MM/WM/EWM with PP, QM, SD, PM, MES, LIMS, Serialization, and external logistics applications.
- Experience working in GxP, GMP, FDA, 21 CFR Part 11, and validated environments.
- Experience with validation lifecycle activities, including URS, FS, DS, IQ, OQ, PQ, change controls, and audit support.
- Strong knowledge of APIs, IDOCs, SAP CPI/BTP integrations, middleware technologies, and enterprise application integration.
- Experience with warehouse automation technologies, including barcode systems, RF devices, handheld terminals, ASRS, and third-party systems.
- Strong stakeholder management, business process design, leadership, communication, and team mentoring skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Understanding of SAP Fiori.
