Job Summary

SAP FICO Practice Lead with 10+ years of experience in SAP Finance and Controlling, including strong expertise in end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementations, domestic projects, business process transformation, solution design, and functional leadership. Responsible for leading FICO implementation and support initiatives, managing stakeholders, driving business requirements, and delivering scalable SAP Finance solutions aligned with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead SAP FICO end-to-end implementation projects, from requirement gathering and business blueprinting through configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
- Act as the FICO Practice Lead / Functional Lead, providing direction to consultants and ensuring successful project delivery.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into appropriate SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions.
- Conduct workshops with Finance, Accounting, Controlling, and business stakeholders to understand current processes and define future-state solutions.
- Configure and support SAP FI modules, including:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Asset Accounting (AA)
- Bank Accounting
- Taxation
- Accounts Closing
- Configure and support SAP CO, including:
- Cost Center Accounting
- Profit Center Accounting
- Internal Orders
- Product Costing
- Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)
- Planning and Budgeting
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA Finance innovations, including Universal Journal, Business Partner, New Asset Accounting, and integration between FI and CO.
- Design and implement financial processes covering P2P, O2C, R2R, fixed assets, banking, taxation, intercompany, and period/year-end closing.
- Manage integration of FICO with MM, SD, PP, PS,



and other SAP modules.
- Prepare functional specifications for developments, interfaces, reports, conversions, enhancements, and forms.
- Work closely with ABAP and technical teams to ensure successful development and integration.
- Lead data migration activities, including legacy data analysis, mapping, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.
- Define and execute unit testing, integration testing, UAT, regression testing, and cutover activities.
- Prepare project deliverables including business process documents, configuration documents, functional specifications, test scripts, training materials, and user manuals.
- Support cutover, go-live, stabilization, and hypercare activities.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide root-cause analysis and permanent solutions.
- Ensure compliance with SAP best practices, accounting standards, internal controls, and project methodology.
- Manage client and business stakeholder relationships and provide regular project status updates.
- Mentor and guide junior and senior FICO consultants and contribute to capability development within the FICO practice.
- Participate in pre-sales activities, solution demonstrations, effort estimation, proposal preparation, and client presentations where required.

- Own FICO deliverables across the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with onsite/offshore teams and business stakeholders.
- Track scope, risks, dependencies, issues, and deliverables.
- Review functional solutions and configuration delivered by team members.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and implementation methodology.
- Conduct knowledge-transfer sessions and mentor team members.
- Drive continuous improvement and standardization of FICO processes.

Required Skills

- 10+ years of hands-on SAP FICO experience.
- Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance.
- At least one strong end-to-end implementation experience.
- Experience working on domestic SAP projects and with Indian business processes.
- Strong FI and CO configuration knowledge.
- Excellent understanding of Finance and Accounting business processes.
- Strong integration knowledge across SAP modules.
- Experience in testing, migration, cutover, go-live, and post-production support.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to independently lead FICO workstreams and manage a team of consultants.

Preferred Qualifications

- SAP S/4HANA Finance certification is an advantage.
- Experience in multiple implementation/support projects.
- Experience with SAP Activate methodology.
- Exposure to SAP Fiori and S/4HANA reporting.
- Experience in process transformation and SAP solution optimization.
- Strong experience interacting with Finance Heads, Controllers, Business Process Owners, and senior management.
