Software Engineer II (Node.js)

About the Role We are looking for a backend engineer to build and scale the core APIs and microservices that power our matchmaking platform. You will work on high-throughput systems, optimizing database queries and building resilient backend architectures to support real-time interactions for millions of active users.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure backend microservices using Node.js.
Architect real-time communication features, complex search algorithms, and recommendation delivery systems.
Optimize application performance, managing memory allocation, and reducing API latency.
Integrate and manage both SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring productive data storage, caching, and retrieval.




Collaborate with frontend/mobile teams to define API contracts and deliver seamless data integration.
Write clean, modular code with comprehensive unit and integration tests to maintain high engineering standards.

Required Tech Stack & Qualifications
Languages & Frameworks: Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and frameworks like Express.js or NestJS.
Databases: Strong experience with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
Caching & Messaging: Hands-on experience with Redis, Memcached, and message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda), Docker containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
Architecture: Robust understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems.
