Job Overview

A Purchase & Sales Executive in a food manufacturing unit is responsible for managing procurement activities, vendor coordination, inventory planning, and customer sales operations. This role acts as a bridge between suppliers, production teams, and clients to ensure smooth business operations, timely material availability, and effective order execution. The position focuses on cost-effective purchasing, stock management, client handling, and maintaining food quality standards as per FSSAI guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
Procure raw materials, packaging materials, and kitchen supplies as per production requirements
Coordinate with vendors for quotations, negotiations, deliveries, and payment follow-ups
Maintain stock records, inward/outward entries, and inventory reports
Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock
Coordinate with production and warehouse teams for smooth material flow
Handle sales inquiries, customer follow-ups, and order processing




Develop and maintain relationships with restaurants, cafés, caterers, and food businesses
Prepare purchase orders, sales invoices, and basic documentation
Ensure timely dispatch and delivery coordination
Maintain compliance with food safety and quality standards
Support management in achieving procurement savings and sales targets

Required Skills
Good communication and negotiation skills
Basic knowledge of purchase and sales operations
Knowledge of MS Excel and billing/inventory software
Ability to manage vendors and customer relationships
Solid coordination and multitasking abilities
Understanding of food industry operations is preferred

Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field
Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, or hospitality industry preferred
Freshers with good communication and operational skills can also apply
