We are looking for a Safety Officer who can take ownership of site safety, strengthen safety practices across contractors and work crews, and ensure that safety remains a priority at every stage of construction.

Life at Onecrest Infra

You’ll be an active presence on our Ludhiana hospital project, working closely with the project, engineering, contractor, and site teams.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll have the responsibility and authority to identify risks, prevent unsafe practices, drive compliance, and build a strong safety culture across the project site.

What Your Ideal Day Would Look Like

- Conduct daily site safety inspections, identifying unsafe conditions and practices before they become incidents.
- Implement and monitor the Site Safety Plan, risk assessments, method statements, and emergency response procedures.
- Run toolbox talks, safety briefings, induction programs, and refresher training for workers and contractor teams.
- Verify PPE and safety protocols are in place before and during work — especially for high-risk activities like work at height, scaffolding, lifting and crane operations, electrical work, excavation, and MEP.
- Confirm safety measures are in place before high-risk work begins, and ensure identified hazards are closed out promptly.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, identify root causes, and recommend preventive action
- Maintain records for inspections, training, incidents, near-misses, permits, PPE, and corrective actions
- Monitor compliance with BOCW, labour, fire, electrical, and occupational safety requirements; support statutory inspections, audits, and government visits
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors,



and the engineering/MEP teams to manage safety interfaces across the site
- Track workforce strength against safety requirements and flag when additional resources are needed
- Prepare and submit weekly safety reports, KPIs, and compliance updates to the Project Head and CMD

What You Bring

- On-ground construction safety experience and the confidence to enforce standards across a busy, active site
- The judgment to spot risk early and the authority to stop or escalate unsafe work when it matters
- Clear communication — with workers and supervisors on-site, and with management in reporting
- Strong documentation discipline and a calm, decisive approach during emergencies

Your Eligibility Checklist

- Diploma/Degree in Industrial Safety, Fire & Safety Engineering, or an Engineering degree (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical) with a recognised Industrial Safety qualification
- 5–8 years of construction/site safety experience, preferably on large-scale commercial, residential, institutional, or healthcare projects
- Strong working knowledge of the BOCW Act, 1996 and applicable safety/labour regulations
- Familiarity with NBC 2016 fire and life safety requirements and Punjab-specific compliance
- NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent certification is a plus
- Comfortable with MS Office for safety documentation and reporting
- Fluent in Hindi/Punjabi for worker communication, with working English for reports
- Physically fit for regular site inspections across an active construction site
