About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Captain – Italian Cuisine to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, excellent guest-handling skills, and the ability to lead the service team while ensuring a smooth and memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome guests and provide professional, warm, and attentive service.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and explain menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to guests.
- Possess good knowledge of Italian cuisine, pasta, pizza, sauces, cheeses, and beverages.
- Recommend dishes and suggest suitable combinations based on guest preferences.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and service team to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
- Handle guest queries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
- Ensure proper table setup, restaurant cleanliness, and service standards.
- Supervise Stewards/Waiters during the shift and ensure smooth floor operations.
- Monitor food presentation and service quality.
- Coordinate with the Chef and kitchen team regarding special requests, allergies, and modifications.




- Assist in training junior service staff on menu knowledge and service standards.
- Ensure compliance with restaurant hygiene, safety, and operational procedures.
- Handle billing and payment processes when required.
- Support the Restaurant Manager/Outlet Manager in daily operations.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and restaurant service.
- Excellent communication and guest-handling skills.
- Valuable knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and food allergies.
- Ability to upsell food and beverage items.
- Strong team-management and coordination skills.
- Pleasant personality and professional grooming.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and restaurant billing.

Qualifications
- Minimum 12th pass; Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management is preferred.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in Italian/Continental restaurants, cafés, hotels, or fine-dining establishments.
- Candidates with experience in reputed Italian restaurants will be preferred.
