Role Description The Relationship Manager – Bancassurance (Midnapore) is a full-time, on-site role responsible for driving life insurance business through designated bank branches. This position focuses on nurturing strong relationships with bank staff, supporting them in identifying insurance needs, and providing suitable solutions to bank customers. Daily responsibilities include meeting branch sales targets, conducting customer meetings, explaining product features and benefits, and ensuring a high standard of service and follow-up.

The role involves regular branch visits, coordinating marketing activities, maintaining accurate sales and customer records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines.

The Relationship





Manager also provides training and motivation to bank teams to enhance insurance awareness and sales effectiveness.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong relationship management and customer service skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term partnerships with bank staff and customers.
- Candidates should possess sales and business development skills, including target achievement, cross-selling, upselling, and pipeline management within a branch banking environment.
- Candidates should possess communication and interpersonal skills, such as explicit verbal and written communication, presentation abilities, and active listening for understanding customer needs.
- Candidates should possess basic financial and insurance knowledge, including understanding of life insurance products, retirement and protection solutions, and regulatory norms.
- Candidates should possess organizational and analytical skills, including planning daily branch activities, maintaining accurate documentation, and using data to track performance.
- Relevant experience in bancassurance, retail banking, or life insurance sales is preferred, especially in branch-based roles.
- Minimum educational qualification typically includes a graduate degree in any discipline; additional certifications in insurance or finance are an advantage.
- Comfort with on-site work in Midnapore, familiarity with local market dynamics, and proficiency in regional language(s) along with English are beneficial.
