Role Description This full time remote role is for a Rebar Detailer and Checker responsible for preparing and reviewing detailed rebar shop drawings for structural and precast concrete elements. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting architectural and structural drawings, creating accurate bar lists and bending schedules, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and project specifications. The role involves checking and coordinating rebar details with steel structures and other trades, identifying clashes or discrepancies, and communicating with project managers or engineers to resolve issues.

Detailer and Checker will maintain organized documentation, follow established quality standards, and meet project deadlines while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders in a remote environment.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Shop Drawings and Rebar, including preparation, interpretation, and checking of reinforcement details.
- Candidates should possess skills in Steel Detailing and Steel Structures, with the ability to understand connections and coordinate reinforcement with structural steel.
- Candidates should possess skills in Architectural Drawings, including reading plans, sections, and elevations to derive accurate rebar requirements.
- Proficiency in relevant CAD or detailing software (e.g., AutoCAD, RebarCAD, Tekla Structures, or similar) is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to work systematically to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a remote team setting.
- Prior experience in rebar detailing, checking, or structural drafting is preferred.
- A technical diploma or degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related field is an advantage.
