Role & responsibilities

- Design stable, reliable and effective database programs to ensure that data processing production systems meet user needs
- PL/SQL and SQL Tuning and Optimization of newly developed and existing applications
- Provide data analysis and validation
- Leverage Oracle 10g/11g features to their fullest on a large-scale system.
- Identification of performance issues on production and testing systems.
- Interact with internal and external clients to understand requirements, explain issues and prioritize work.
- Involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle and demonstrate abilities to learn both the business processes as well as new and existing pl/sql technologies
- Lead and mentor junior developers, providing technical guidance and code reviews




- Collaborate with architects and senior management to design scalable database solutions
- Drive best practices in database development, performance optimization, and data governance

Requirements

- Basic knowledge of Oracle database architecture
- Advanced database development experience (Oracle SQL/PLSQL)
- Knowledge of software development
- Robust SQL development, SQL analytics and tuning skills
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- An ability to understand front-end users' requirements and a problem-solving attitude
- Strong communications skills (both verbal & written)
