We are looking for an experienced and compassionate PICU Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The candidate will be responsible for providing quality nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients while working closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU.
- Monitor vital signs, patient condition, and clinical changes.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist doctors during procedures and emergency situations.
- Monitor patients receiving oxygen and ventilatory support.
- Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
- Follow infection-control and patient-safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with doctors, nurses, and patients' parents/attenders.
- Respond promptly to changes in the patient's condition.
- Ensure proper use and handling of PICU equipment.
- Follow hospital protocols and standard nursing practices.
Eligibility & Skills
- B.Sc Nursing / GNM / Registered Nurse qualification is mandatory.
- 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
- Experience in PICU / Pediatric Critical Care will be preferred.
- Valid nursing registration with the relevant nursing council.
- Good clinical knowledge and patient-monitoring skills.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in emergency and critical-care situations.
- Patient-focused and compassionate approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
Preferred Candidate Candidates with experience in PICU, pediatric critical care, patient monitoring, emergency nursing, and critical-care procedures will be preferred.
