About the Role

Josh Talks works closely with government departments, district administrations and public institutions across India. This internship sits at the front end of that work: you will be the first point of contact between Josh Talks and government offices, making outreach calls, navigating the right desks, and securing meeting appointments for our partnerships team.

It is a role for someone who is comfortable picking up the phone, speaks clearly and respectfully, and can build a warm rapport with officials and their staff over repeated conversations. You will learn how public institutions actually work who to reach, how to follow up, and how a first phone call turns into a meeting on the calendar.

- Identify and reach the correct point of contact within an office, including PAs, OSDs, section officers and departmental staff.

Appointment Coordination

- Schedule and confirm meeting appointments for senior team members, keeping their calendars conflict-free.
- Share meeting confirmations, agendas and reminders over call, email and WhatsApp as appropriate.
- Manage reschedules and cancellations promptly and communicate changes to all parties.
- Prepare short pre-meeting briefs official's name, designation, office, prior conversation history and context.

Relationship Building

- Build and sustain cordial, professional relationships with officials and their support staff.
- Maintain regular, non-intrusive touchpoints with key contacts so relationships stay warm between meetings.
- Represent Josh Talks with the courtesy and protocol expected in government engagement.

Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain an accurate outreach tracker contacts reached, call outcomes, next steps and follow-up dates.
- Log every meeting scheduled, held, deferred or declined with reasons.
- Share a weekly summary of calls made, meetings secured and pipeline status with the reporting manager.
- Keep the contact database clean, current and de-duplicated.
