ABOUT THE ROLE
Value Research is seeking an Operations Analyst to support the day-to-day running of our investment platform operations. The role sits at the centre of investor onboarding, transaction processing and post-trade servicing, working across the BSE platform, internal admin systems and external partners including AMCs, RTAs, CVL and Digio. This is a hands-on, detail-intensive role suited to a candidate early in their career who works accurately within defined turnaround times, enjoys structured daily workflows, and is keen to build long-term expertise in investment and financial services operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Investor Servicing: Resolve investor queries logged through the ticketing system, covering onboarding, transactions, folio details, nominee updates, contact and bank detail changes, and general mutual fund servicing.
- Onboarding and Account Activation: Track UCC failures through email alerts and admin panel reports, identify the reason for rejection, take corrective action and activate accounts. Review rejected AOF submissions and re-upload the same day.
- KYC and CKYC: Monitor KYC status with CVL and KRA, follow up on rejected and pending cases, and verify and approve CKYC documentation.
- Bank Verification and TPV: Verify bank proofs where validation fails, follow up with investors for missing documentation, and track TPV-pending orders through to release.
- Mandates and SIP: Track mandate linking failures and rejections, raise corrective tasks with the technology team, and escalate incorrect rejections to BSE.
- Transaction Monitoring: Verify payment status across internal systems and BSE,
track rejected orders through to resolution, and ensure pending Portfolio Planner orders are triggered on time.
- Reconciliation: Carry out periodic reconciliation of SIP, UCC and mandate data between internal systems and BSE, investigating and resolving mismatches.
- Error Handling: Action daily error mails relating to KYC failure, UCC pending status, bank validation and transaction failure, and update investors and internal records accordingly.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Follow up with BSE, CVL, Digio, AMCs, RTAs and internal technology teams until closure, logging all operational issues as trackable tasks.
- MIS and Reporting: Maintain operations tracking sheets and prepare periodic MIS on subscriptions and orders using data from internal dashboards and reporting tools.
- Process and Testing Support: Support user acceptance and live testing following platform changes, assist with the implementation of regulatory updates, and support vendor invoice verification.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- 0 - 3 years of experience in operations, preferably within mutual fund distribution, wealth management, BFSI back-office or fintech.
- Candidates from a fresher background with strong analytical aptitude will be considered.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, lookups and data reconciliation.
- Clear written and verbal communication in English.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Data handling and reconciliation across large datasets using spreadsheet formulas, lookups and pivot tables.
- Familiarity with, or the ability to quickly learn, the BSE platform, internal admin systems and reporting dashboards.
- Exposure to KYC, CKYC and KRA portals, and to e-signature platforms such as Digio.
- Comfort working with ticketing and task management tools for issue logging and tracking.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior exposure to BSE, RTA or AMC operational platforms.
- Understanding of the SEBI and AMFI regulatory framework relevant to investment advisory operations.
- NISM or AMFI certification, or willingness to obtain it.
- Interest in process automation, including identifying manual tasks that can be improved through dashboards, rule-based workflows or system integration.
