Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior NPD Engineer with 8–10 years of experience in the automotive sheet-metal manufacturing industry.

The candidate will be responsible for managing the complete New Product Development cycle, from customer requirement and feasibility through tool development, prototype, trials, PPAP, and successful production launch. The role requires strong coordination with customers and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered within quality, cost, and timeline requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end New Product Development (NPD) activities from customer drawing/requirement to production.
- Review customer drawings, specifications, GD&T;, technical requirements, and feasibility.
- Coordinate APQP, PPAP, prototype development, trials, validation, and product launch.
- Prepare/review Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, work instructions, and other NPD documentation.
- Coordinate with Design, Tool Room, Production, Quality, Purchase, Maintenance,



and Customer teams.
- Manage tool development, tool trials, prototype development, and process validation.
- Identify design and manufacturing feasibility issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Monitor NPD project schedules and ensure on-time completion of development milestones.
- Handle ECN/ECR, drawing revisions, engineering changes, and customer approvals.
- Coordinate with customers for technical discussions, development status, trials, and PPAP approvals.
- Ensure developed products meet customer requirements related to quality, cost, delivery, and manufacturability.
- Identify opportunities for design optimization, process improvement, and cost reduction.
- Support successful transfer of new products from development to regular production.

Qualifications & Experience

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in NPD/Product Development within the automotive industry.
- Strong experience in sheet-metal stamping, press components, fabrication, tooling, and assemblies.
- Experience working with automotive OEMs/Tier-1 customers will be preferred.
