Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled MySQL Database Administrator & Query Optimization Expert to support our high-concurrency .NET Core platform. The ideal candidate will manage large-scale MySQL environments, ensure high availability and performance, and collaborate closely with application teams to design efficient and scalable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Database Administration (DBA)

· Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain MySQL 8.x databases

· Configure and tune InnoDB engine parameters

· Monitor database performance, availability, and health

· Implement backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies

· Configure replication, indexing, partitioning, and clustering

· Manage database security, users, roles, and access control

· Troubleshoot deadlocks, slow queries, and production incidents

· Implement high availability and failover solutions

· Perform capacity planning and growth forecasting

· Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts/tools

· Implement database monitoring and alerting

Query Writing & Optimization

· Write and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures

· Analyze queries using EXPLAIN / EXPLAIN ANALYZE

· Optimize high-throughput transactional workloads

· Design efficient schemas and normalization strategies

· Create and maintain views, triggers,



and functions

· Design covering and composite indexes

· Optimize pagination and large dataset queries

· Work with developers to improve application query performance

Data Management

· Manage large datasets with scalability and performance in mind

· Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity

· Support data migration and ETL processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

· Strong expertise in MySQL 8.x (InnoDB engine)

· 5+ years of hands-on MySQL DBA experience

· Excellent SQL query writing and optimization skills

· Deep understanding of indexing strategies and execution plans

· Strong knowledge of transactions, locking, and isolation levels

· Experience with slow query log and performance schema

· Experience with replication, failover, and high availability

· Experience with large databases and high-traffic OLTP systems

· Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments

· Experience supporting MySQL for .NET Core or similar stacks

Preferred Skills (Valuable to Have)

· Experience with Percona toolkit or PMM

· Exposure to cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure, GCP)

· Knowledge of NoSQL databases

· Basic scripting (Shell/Python)

· Experience with Grafana/Prometheus monitoring
