Your Role
As a Middleware Stack Integration SME, you will be responsible for driving middleware architecture, platform integration, and feature development for camera and connectivity domains across multiple automotive programs. You will work closely with OEMs, chipset vendors, Tier-1 suppliers, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-performance infotainment solutions.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the architecture, design, development, and integration of Camera and Connectivity middleware stacks for Android Automotive and Embedded Linux platforms.
- Define middleware frameworks, reusable software components, and integration strategies across vehicle programs.
- Drive end-to-end development of camera solutions including Rear View Camera (RVC), Surround View Systems (SVS), Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS), and Cabin Monitoring Systems (CMS).
- Architect and integrate Camera HAL, video capture pipelines, streaming frameworks, and multimedia processing components.
- Lead development and integration of connectivity solutions including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, USB, GNSS, and cellular technologies.
- Design middleware interfaces between applications, Android framework services, HALs, device drivers, and hardware platforms.
- Collaborate with chipset vendors, BSP teams, hardware teams, application teams, and OEM customers to define scalable system-level solutions.
- Support platform bring-up, feature enablement, and software integration on new infotainment hardware platforms.
- Analyze and resolve complex issues involving camera pipelines, networking stacks, multimedia frameworks, and vehicle communication interfaces.
- Drive performance optimization related to camera latency, connectivity throughput, memory utilization, CPU performance, boot time, and system stability.
- Lead architecture reviews, design reviews, code reviews, and technical audits.
- Mentor engineering teams and establish middleware design, development, and debugging best practices.
- Drive root-cause analysis and resolution of critical customer issues and production defects.
- Collaborate with vehicle networking teams for CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SOME/IP, and DoIP service integration.
- Support customer engagements, solution proposals, effort estimations, technology evaluations, and roadmap discussions.
- Work with Business Development and Account teams on pre-sales activities, technical solutioning, and RFP/RFI responses.
- Drive innovation in connected vehicle platforms, digital cockpit solutions, and next-generation infotainment technologies.
Your Profile Must-Have Skills
- 15+ years of experience in Embedded Software Development and Automotive Infotainment (IVI).
- Strong expertise in Android Automotive OS (AAOS) and/or Embedded Linux.
- Deep understanding of Middleware Architecture, Design, Development, and Integration.
- Proficiency in C and C++.
- Strong knowledge of Android Framework, System Services, HAL, Binder IPC, HIDL,
and AIDL.
- Experience with Qualcomm, NXP, Renesas, TI, Samsung Exynos Auto, MediaTek, or similar automotive SoCs.
- Strong technical leadership, stakeholder management, and customer engagement skills.
- Knowledge of ASPICE, Functional Safety, Cybersecurity, and SDLC.
