Role Description This is a remote internship role for a MERN Stack Developer. The intern will work on designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js. Day-to-day tasks include implementing new features, fixing bugs, integrating APIs, and optimizing application performance and security.

The role involves collaborating with product, design, and mental health operations teams to translate user needs into intuitive, responsive interfaces. The intern will also participate in code reviews, write technical documentation,



and learn best practices in modern web development within a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in JavaScript and experience with core MERN technologies (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js).
- Skills in front-end development, including HTML, CSS, responsive design, and basic UI/UX principles.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and integrating front-end components with back-end services.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Basic knowledge of databases (NoSQL or SQL), data modeling, and query optimization.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code and follow established coding standards and documentation practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced setting.
- Comfort working in a remote, distributed team and communicating clearly across functions.
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree or certification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Interest in mental health technology and building products that support well-being is highly beneficial.
