Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced MEP Draughtsman with 6–9 years of hands-on experience in preparing detailed MEP drawings for commercial, warehouse, industrial, retail, or infrastructure projects.

The candidate should have strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and a good understanding of MEP systems, including HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting. The role will involve preparing accurate shop drawings, coordination drawings, as-built drawings, and revisions in coordination with engineers, consultants, and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed MEP shop drawings, working drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop layouts and detailed drawings for HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting systems.
- Interpret engineering designs, specifications, BOQs, and technical drawings.
- Coordinate drawings with MEP Engineers, consultants, architects, and site execution teams.
- Incorporate site conditions, design changes, and engineer/consultant comments into drawings.
- Ensure drawings are accurate and comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements.
- Maintain proper drawing registers, revisions, and documentation.




- Assist the project team with quantity take-offs and BOQ-related drawings/documentation, wherever required.
- Identify drawing clashes or coordination issues and communicate them to the concerned engineering team.
- Ensure timely submission and revision of drawings as per project schedules.

Required Skills

- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
- Good understanding of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting systems.
- Ability to read and interpret MEP layouts, technical drawings, specifications, and design documents.
- Experience in preparing shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Positive understanding of MEP coordination and site requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and drawing accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

- Diploma / ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
- AutoCAD certification or relevant drafting certification will be an added advantage.

Preferred Experience

- 4–8 years of relevant experience in MEP drafting.
- Experience with commercial, warehouse, industrial, retail, fit-out, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience working with EPC companies, MEP contractors, consultancy firms, architectural firms, or project management companies.
- Candidates with strong site coordination and execution exposure will be preferred.

- Ability to manage multiple drawing revisions and meet project deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Willingness to coordinate with project/site teams as required.

Key Requirement Candidates must have strong hands-on experience in AutoCAD-based MEP drafting and relevant experience in commercial, warehouse, industrial, retail, or similar projects.
