Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Engineer role based in Vaikam.

The Mechanical

Engineer will design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for biomedical equipment, from concept through production. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and reviewing CAD models and drawings, performing basic calculations and analyses, and supporting machine design to ensure performance, reliability, and manufacturability. The role involves close collaboration with R&D;, production, and quality teams to prototype, test, and refine designs, as well as troubleshoot issues on the shop floor.

Engineer will also assist in planning and executing small engineering projects, maintaining documentation, and adhering to relevant standards and safety practices.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to apply core principles to biomedical equipment design and manufacturing.
- Skills in Machine Design and related mechanical systems, including selection of materials and components for durability and performance.
- Knowledge in Solidworks is mandatory.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling, detailing, and preparing engineering drawings suitable for production.
- Experience or aptitude in Project Management, including planning tasks, tracking progress, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Interest and capability in Research and Development (R&D;), including prototyping, testing, and iterating on new mechanical designs.
- Relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Ability to work on-site in Vaikam, collaborate effectively with manufacturing and quality teams, and follow safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Valuable communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
