Job Purpose
Responsible for all outreach, marketing, and branding activities for IIDS and AMPBA.
Job Outline The job holder will be responsible for leading the outreach, communications, branding, and digital engagement initiatives of the ISB Institute of Data Science (IIDS). The role involves managing the Institute's website, social media platforms, and external communications to enhance IIDS' and AMPBA’s visibility and reputation among academia, industry, government, and other stakeholders.
The incumbent will develop and execute impactful content and communication strategies, working closely with the Senior Associate Director and Executive Director to create thought leadership articles, research stories, newsletters, and digital campaigns. The role requires the ability to translate complex research and technical concepts into engaging, audience-centric content across multiple communication channels.
In addition, the job holder will build and maintain relationships with project sponsors, industry partners, funding agencies, and strategic collaborators, while proactively identifying opportunities for research partnerships, sponsored projects, and institutional outreach. The role also includes managing digital platforms, monitoring outreach performance, and supporting branding, events, and stakeholder engagement initiatives to strengthen the national and global profile of IIDS.
Job Specification
Knowledge / Education: Master’s degree in communication/literature/management ect.
Specific Skills
·Excellent written, verbal, and editorial communication skills with the ability to develop compelling content for diverse audiences.
·Strong storytelling and content creation capabilities, particularly for research, technology, and academic domains.
·Proven expertise in social media strategy, digital marketing, and campaign management across platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
·Experience in website content management, SEO best practices, and digital analytics tools to monitor and optimize engagement.
·Ability to develop thought leadership content, including articles, blogs, newsletters, reports, and executive communications.
·Excellent networking, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills,
with the ability to build and sustain partnerships across academia, industry, government, and funding agencies.
·Experience in sponsor relationship management, corporate outreach, and business development for research collaborations and institutional partnerships.
·Creative, proactive, and detail-oriented with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into transparent, engaging, and impactful communications.
·Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with content management systems (CMS), design tools (e.g., Canva/Adobe Creative Suite), and social media management platforms is desirable.

Key Result Area - Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communications, Content Development & Brand Management -
- Develop and implement the communication and branding strategy for IIDS.
- Create high-quality content for the IIDS website, AMPBA, newsletters, annual reports, research highlights, and promotional materials.
- Collate and prepare the IIDS Newletter.
- Manage and grow IIDS & AMPBA digital presence across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and other communication channels.
- Work closely with the Senior Associate Director and Executive Director to develop thought leadership articles, blogs, opinion pieces, speeches, and media content.
- Translate research outputs, projects, and institutional achievements into engaging stories for industry, government, academia, and the public.
- Coordinate media relations, press releases, and branding initiatives to enhance the visibility and reputation of IIDS & AMPBA.
Outreach, Strategic Partnerships & Business Development
- Build and maintain relationships with industry, government, funding agencies, research institutions, international universities, alumni, and corporate partners.
- Serve as the primary outreach coordinator for IIDS project sponsors and strategic collaborators.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for sponsored research, grants, CSR initiatives, consulting projects, executive education,
and institutional collaborations.
- Support proposal development and partnership initiatives in coordination with faculty and research teams.
- Represent IIDS in networking events, conferences, industry forums, and stakeholder meetings to strengthen institutional outreach.
Digital Platforms, Marketing & Events
- Manage and continuously update the IIDS website and Atrium Pages to ensure timely publication of research, faculty achievements, projects, AMPBA, events, and institutional news.
- Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns to promote research initiatives, conferences, workshops, executive programmes, and institutional activities.
- Coordinate outreach and promotional activities before, during, and after conferences, workshops, summits, guest speaker sessions and other IIDS/AMPBA events.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to create engaging multimedia content, including graphics, videos, and digital campaigns.
Stakeholder Engagement, Reporting & Institutional Support
- Monitor and analyse outreach, website, and social media performance using relevant analytics tools and prepare periodic reports for leadership.
- Maintain regular engagement with project sponsors by sharing updates, coordinating meetings, and strengthening long-term institutional relationships.
- Coordinate with faculty, researchers, students, alumni, and administrative departments to support communication and outreach activities.
- Undertake additional responsibilities related to institutional outreach, branding, events, and strategic initiatives as assigned by the leadership.
Any other work
- Willingness to do and take responsibility for any other work of the department and program. e.g. workshops and events.
Any Other Significant Input
Work on weekends and holidays (at least once a month) will be required as the part-time program is delivered to working professionals over weekends/holidays.
