Role Description This is a full time hybrid role for a LIC Agent based in Ranchi, with some flexibility for work from home. The LIC Agent will identify prospective customers, explain various life insurance and investment products, and recommend suitable plans based on individual needs and financial goals. Daily activities include meeting clients, conducting policy presentations, closing sales, and supporting policyholders with renewals, claims, and service requests.

The role also involves maintaining customer relationships, following up on leads, and coordinating with LIC branches for documentation and policy issuance. Agents are expected to work ethically,



meet sales targets, and keep updated on LIC products, processes, and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Insurance Sales and Insurance, with the ability to understand and explain policy features clearly.
- Exposure to Insurance Brokerage and Finance, enabling effective guidance on financial planning and product suitability.
- Proven Customer Service skills, with a focus on building long-term relationships and handling queries and concerns professionally.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse customers in person and over phone or digital channels.
- Motivated, target-oriented, and comfortable working independently while coordinating with branch teams.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with online tools for policy servicing and lead management.
- Minimum educational qualification as per LIC norms (typically completion of secondary or higher secondary education); prior sales or financial services experience is an advantage.
- Willingness to obtain necessary regulatory approvals and complete LIC’s training and certification requirements.
