Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following coding standards and best practices.
- Create and maintain unit tests using JUnit and Mockito to ensure code quality.
- Develop and execute API automation test cases using BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber).
- Perform API regression testing to validate application stability after code changes.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
- Execute and monitor CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
- Work with Git for source code management, branching, merging, and pull requests.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.
- Troubleshoot production and non-production issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Product Owners, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Java Spring Boot Developer with experience in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining RESTful APIs. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Spring Boot, API automation, unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and version control using Git.



The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable backend services while ensuring high code quality through automated testing and continuous integration.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Java backend development using Spring Boot.

Required Skills:

- Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8/11/17).
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and REST API development.
- Good understanding of Spring ecosystem (Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security is a plus).
- Experience in writing JUnit and Mockito test cases.
- Hands-on experience in BDD API Automation using Cucumber or similar frameworks.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Rest Assured.
- Experience in API regression testing.
- Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Proficiency with Git for version control.
- Familiarity with Maven or Gradle build tools.
- Positive understanding of SQL databases.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as Splunk or ELK.
- Familiarity with SonarQube and code quality analysis tools.

Nice to Have:

- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Understanding of security best practices for REST APIs.
- Experience with performance optimization and API monitoring.
