Domain Expertise: Deep expertise in IFS Applications (IFS Cloud) as a consulting practitioner within the Aerospace &
- Defense (A&D;) sector. This role is part of Accenture's GN A&D; practice, supporting end-to-end ERP transformation engagements for global A&D; clients — including OEMs, MRO service providers, defense contractors, and airline operators. The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on IFS functional knowledge, the ability to lead client-facing workstreams, and a good understanding of A&D; business processes including MRO, manufacturing, program management, and procurement. You will work directly with client stakeholders to design and deliver IFS-based solutions aligned to business requirements, regulatory obligations, and operational realities. Strong familiarity with IFS Applications across core modules — Manufacturing, MRO/Work Order Management, Financials, Procurement/Supply Chain, Projects — and demonstrated ability to lead fit-gap analysis, solution design, and configuration. Exposure to A&D-specific; regulations (AS9100, FAR/DFARS, ITAR) is preferred.
Exposure to: a. IFS Module Expertise &
- Configuration Lead functional configuration and solution design across IFS modules including Manufacturing, MRO/Work Order Management, Finance &
- Controlling, Supply Chain/Procurement, and Projects. Conduct fit-gap analysis between client business requirements and IFS standard functionality; document delta requirements and propose workarounds or customizations. Design and configure IFS workflows, business rules, document management, and approval hierarchies aligned to A&D; operational needs.
Support data migration strategy and execution including master data (parts, BOMs, routings, suppliers) and transactional data cutover. b. A&D; Business Process Understanding Demonstrate working knowledge of core A&D; processes: MRO work order lifecycle, aircraft maintenance planning, component repair, rotable/serialized part tracking, and fleet sustainment. Align IFS capabilities with regulatory and compliance requirements such as AS9100, FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, and airworthiness directives. Support process design for manufacturing execution (discrete and repetitive), BOM and routing management, shop floor control, and quality management. Translate A&D; supply chain requirements — including long-lead items, consignment stock, and vendor-managed inventory — into IFS Supply Chain configurations. c.

- Project Execution Lead or co-lead IFS implementation workstreams across phases: blueprinting, solution design, build, testing (SIT/UAT), cutover, and hypercare.
Prepare and own key delivery artifacts: Business Process Documents (BPDs), Functional Design Documents (FDDs), test scripts, training materials, and cutover plans. Manage workstream delivery timelines, open issues, and escalations in close coordination with the project manager. Coordinate with technical teams (developers, integration architects) to ensure functional requirements are correctly translated into technical solutions. d. IFS Upgrade, Migration &
- Modernization Support clients migrating from legacy ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, AMOS, legacy IFS versions) to IFS Cloud or IFS Apps 10.
Conduct current-state assessments to identify customizations, integrations, and data structures that need remediation during upgrade. Advise on IFS Cloud capabilities (People, FSM, EAM) and their applicability to A&D; use cases. Identify opportunities to decommission legacy point solutions by leveraging native IFS functionality. e.

- Workshops Facilitate client-facing workshops for requirements gathering, solution walkthroughs, and design sign-offs across business and IT stakeholders. Build strong working relationships with client functional leads (Maintenance, Procurement, Finance, IT) and ensure alignment at each milestone. Prepare and present solution demonstrations, prototype walkthroughs, and executive status updates. f. Data &
- AI in ERP Context (Good to have) Exposure to AI/ML use cases integrated with IFS — such as predictive maintenance triggers, automated parts demand forecasting, or intelligent work order prioritization. Familiarity with IFS Aurena and IFS Analytics for operational reporting and dashboard configuration. Awareness of how Generative AI and Agentic AI capabilities can augment ERP workflows within A&D; contexts. 2.

Strong project management and structured delivery skills — able to manage scope, timeline, quality, and stakeholder expectations across complex, multi-workstream programs. c.
