Job Purpose/ Summary

Heading Pipe Plant Mechanical Maintenance.

Lead the mechanical maintenance function for the stainless steel tube manufacturing plant, ensuring high availability, reliability, safety, and performance of critical equipment. The role will be responsible for maintenance of Extrusion Presses, Pilger Mills, Drawbenches, Tube Finishing Equipment, Heat Treatment Systems, Material Handling Equipment, Utilities, and associated mechanical systems.

The position will drive preventive and predictive maintenance, breakdown reduction, equipment reliability, spares management, maintenance planning, and continuous improvement to achieve production and quality targets

Responsibility





Lead mechanical maintenance activities for the entire stainless steel tube manufacturing facility ensuring reliable operation of extrusion presses pilger mills drawbenches and associated equipmentbr Develop and implement preventive predictive and conditionbased maintenance programs to monitor equipment health and identify potential failures before breakdowns occurbr Ensure quick and effective troubleshooting of critical mechanical breakdowns analyzing recurring issues and implementing permanent corrective actionsbr Oversee maintenance and reliability of hydraulicmechanical extrusion presses coordinating planned shutdowns and major overhauls to improve equipment availability and reduce unplanned downtimebr Lead maintenance of cold pilger mills ensuring proper upkeep of rolls dies drives gearboxes and other critical components while driving rootcause analysis for recurring failuresbr Manage mechanical maintenance of drawbenches and tube drawing systems ensuring reliability and accuracy to support dimensional and quality requirementsbr Oversee maintenance of mechanical utilities and plant infrastructure including air compressors hydraulic systems pumps cooling water systems and other auxiliary equipmentbr Prepare annual monthly and daily maintenance plans establishing equipmentwise schedules and implementing condition monitoring techniques to track performance metricsbr Lead major breakdown investigations and root cause analysis implementing corrective and preventive actions to eliminate repeat failures and improve overall equipment effectivenessbr Plan maintenance manpower resources and shutdown activities coordinating with procurement for timely availability of critical spares and exploring cost reduction opportunitiesbr Ensure strict compliance with plant safety procedures during maintenance activities implementing LOTO work permits and conducting regular safety auditsbr Lead and develop the mechanical maintenance team allocating manpower according to plant priorities and fostering technical skills through training and knowledgesharing programsbr Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce breakdowns maintenance costs and energy consumption implementing TPM Kaizen 5S and reliability improvement practices
