About us

Taradevi's Group develops premium residences and vacation homes in Himachal Pradesh. Taradevi's Enclave is our flagship residential development in Current Shimla. Our buyers are paying for quality they can see and touch, so the standard of finish is not a detail on this project — it is the product. Building it to that standard on hill terrain, in Shimla's climate, is exactly the challenge this role exists to solve.

The Role

We are looking for a Finishing Engineer to own the finishing works at the Enclave — from plaster and waterproofing through to the final snag before handover. You will be accountable for the quality, pace, and cost of everything that determines how the finished home looks and feels: floors, walls, ceilings, joinery, fittings, and façade. This is a hands-on site role for someone who holds a high bar and enforces it with contractors day after day

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, supervise, and execute all finishing activities — plastering, POP/gypsum, painting, tiling, stone and wood flooring, waterproofing, false ceilings, joinery, doors and windows, and sanitary/CP fittings.
- Own finish quality against the premium specification; run rigorous quality checks and drive snagging and de-snagging to a clean handover.
- Read and interpret architectural and GFC drawings; flag clashes and buildability issues early.
- Coordinate finishing sequences with civil, MEP, and façade teams to keep the site moving without rework.




- Manage finishing contractors and vendors — manpower deployment, daily progress, and quality of workmanship.
- Track material requirements and consumption; support BOQ, indenting, and wastage control on finishing items.
- Verify contractor measurements and support billing for finishing works.
- Enforce site safety, housekeeping, and protection of completed finishes.
- Maintain progress records and report status against schedule to the Project Manager.

What we are looking for

- Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- 4+ years supervising finishing works on residential or hospitality projects, ideally premium or high-specification.
- Strong knowledge of finishing materials, methods, and quality standards, including waterproofing and stone/wood flooring.
- Confident reading drawings and translating them into site execution.
- The eye and the temperament to hold a high finish standard and enforce it with contractors.
- Working knowledge of quantities, measurement, and contractor billing for finishing items.
- Able to work on-site full-time in Shimla, including on hill/slope terrain.

Nice to have

- Experience finishing luxury villas, resorts, or second homes.
- Hill-station or slope-site construction experience, and familiarity with moisture and climate challenges in HP.
- Exposure to imported or bespoke finishing materials and joinery.
