- Commercial Manager will be responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, accounting, commercial activities, cash flow, statutory compliance, procurement-related commercial functions, vendor/customer accounts, costing, MIS reporting and financial controls. The position will ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, effective working-capital management, cost control, compliance with applicable laws, and smooth coordination between Finance, Purchase, Sales, Projects, Stores, and Management. 2.
Key Responsibilities A. Finance &
- Accounting· Manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations. · Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliation, and cash/bank transactions. · Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions. · Monitor outstanding receivables and payables. · Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. · Review and approve accounting entries, vouchers, invoices, debit notes and credit notes. · Maintain proper documentation and financial records. · Coordinate with auditors and support statutory and internal audits. B. Cash Flow &
- Working Capital Management· Prepare and monitor daily/weekly/monthly cash-flow statements. · Plan fund requirements based on project and operational commitments. · Monitor customer collections and vendor payments. · Develop strategies for improving working capital and reducing cash-flow pressure. · Ensure timely payment of statutory dues, salaries, vendors, and other commitments. · Escalate major financial risks and cash-flow requirements to management. Commercial
Operations· Handle commercial activities related to sales, purchases, projects, contracts and vendors. · Review commercial terms in quotations, purchase orders, work orders, and contracts. · Verify pricing, payment terms, taxes, delivery terms, retention, advances, penalties, and other commercial clauses. · Coordinate with Sales, Purchase, Projects, Stores, and Operations teams. · Monitor execution of purchase orders and work orders from a commercial perspective. · Ensure proper documentation for billing, dispatch, delivery, installation, commissioning, and project closure. D. Billing &
- Collections· Review customer invoices before submission. · Ensure timely project and sales billing. · Track advances, running bills, retention amounts, credit notes, and final settlements. · Prepare ageing reports and follow up on overdue receivables.
· Coordinate with Sales/Project teams for resolving customer billing issues. · Monitor collection targets and provide regular MIS to management. E. Costing &
- Budgeting· Prepare product/project costing and profitability analysis. · Analyse material, labour, transportation, subcontracting, overhead, and other project costs. · Review margins before finalizing quotations. · Prepare annual budgets and departmental budgets. · Compare actual expenditure against approved budgets. · Identify cost overruns and recommend corrective measures. · Support management in pricing and commercial decision-making. - Vendor Management· Review vendor quotations and commercial proposals. · Analyse comparative statements and negotiate commercial terms where required. · Monitor vendor payment schedules and outstanding balances. · Ensure purchase orders are issued with appropriate commercial terms. · Coordinate with Purchase and Stores for GRN, invoice matching, and payment processing. · Evaluate vendor credit terms and commercial performance. Statutory
Compliance· Ensure timely compliance with applicable statutory requirements. · Supervise GST, TDS, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Income Tax and other applicable statutory payments/returns. · Coordinate with statutory consultants and auditors. · Maintain proper statutory records and supporting documents. · Ensure compliance with applicable financial and commercial regulations. - Management Reporting Prepare and present regular MIS reports covering: · Sales and billing · Collections · Receivables ageing · Payables ageing · Cash flow · Bank position · Project profitability · Product costing · Purchase commitments · Inventory value · Budget vs. actual expenditure · Monthly Profit &
- Loss · Working capital · Outstanding advances · Commercial risks and exposures I.
Internal
Controls· Establish and maintain effective financial controls. · Ensure proper authorization for purchases, payments, expenses, and commercial commitments. · Monitor adherence to company policies and approval procedures. · Identify financial and commercial risks and recommend preventive measures. · Prevent revenue leakage, unnecessary expenditure, duplicate payments, and commercial losses.

Qualification Essential: · CA / M. Com · Solid knowledge of accounting, taxation, finance, costing, and commercial operations.
- Experience· 8–12 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounts &
- Commercial functions. · Experience in manufacturing, engineering, EPC industries · Experience in team management and handling senior-management MIS is desirable. 8.
