Role Description The Field Staff Agriculture role is a full-time, on-site position based in Sarangarh. The role involves working closely with farmers and rural communities to support sustainable agricultural practices, including crop planning, soil health management, and adoption of improved production technologies. The field staff will conduct farm visits, demonstrations,



and training sessions, collect and analyze field data, and provide feedback to project teams for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities also include facilitating access to inputs and services, supporting farmer producer groups, and promoting market linkages for agricultural produce. The position requires regular documentation of field activities, coordination with local stakeholders, and participation in review meetings to ensure program goals are met.

Qualifications

- Robust knowledge and practical experience in Agriculture and Agricultural Production.
- Effective Communication skills for working with farmers, local institutions, and internal teams.
- Analytical Skills to collect, interpret, and report field data and crop performance.
- Sales and outreach abilities to support input distribution, market linkages, and farmer engagement.
- Diploma or degree in Agriculture or related field preferred.
- Experience working in rural communities or development projects is an advantage.
- Ability to travel within the region and work extensively on the field.
- Basic proficiency in local language(s) of Sarangarh and valuable written and spoken English are beneficial.
