OTA Pricing Controls, RevPAR Performance, Pricing & Reservations Specialist

Location: Fully Remote

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly accurate and trustworthy skilled to join our team.

The specialist will monitor OTA Pricing and report pricing 5 times daily, manage ADR, hotel transactions, audit refunds and adjustments, verify reservation rates, implement approved room-price changes, and support reservation sales. The specialist will also adjust prices. This is a hybrid hotel revenue and operations, financial-control, and sales-support position—not a traditional accountant or senior revenue-manager role.

The successful candidate must understand hotel PMS transactions, reservations, rate plans, financial controls, and guest folios. This person will help prevent revenue leakage while keeping the hotel’s rates accurate and competitive.

Primary Responsibilities PMS Transaction Monitoring

- Review daily PMS reports for refunds, rebates, discounts, voids, corrections, write-offs, and manual adjustments.
- Confirm that every refund and adjustment has a legitimate reason, supporting documentation, and required approval.
- Identify duplicate refunds, unusual transactions, unauthorized discounts, unexplained rate reductions, and missing charges.
- Review guest folios for incorrect rates, taxes, payments, balances, and transaction postings.
- Compare PMS activity with payment-processor and credit-card settlement reports when required.
- Maintain an audit trail showing the transaction, employee, amount, reason, approval status, and corrective action.
- Immediately escalate suspected fraud, unauthorized activity, or significant discrepancies.

Reservation and Rate Review
- Review new and modified reservations for correct room type, rate plan, dates, discounts, taxes, and payment instructions.
- Verify weekly, monthly, corporate, promotional, OTA, and direct-booking rates.
- Identify reservations priced below approved limits or outside authorized rate plans.
- Monitor occupancy, booking pace, cancellations, competitor rates, local demand, and high-demand dates.
- Recommend pricing changes supported by current hotel and market information.
- Implement approved rate changes in the PMS, central reservation system, channel manager, and authorized booking platforms.
- Confirm that rate changes display correctly across applicable sales channels.
- Identify and report rate-parity discrepancies.

Reservations and Sales Support
- Respond to assigned reservation inquiries by phone or email.
- Follow up with qualified extended-stay, corporate, construction-crew, relocation, and long-term-stay prospects.
- Prepare quotes within approved pricing and discount limits.
- Convert qualified inquiries into reservations whenever possible.
- Maintain an organized lead and follow-up tracker.




- Document the outcome and next action for every assigned sales opportunity.
- Escalate negotiated rates, group business, or requests outside approved limits.

Reporting and Communication
- Produce a concise daily report covering refunds, adjustments, exceptions, rate changes, unresolved balances, and recommended actions.
- Prepare a weekly summary of transaction trends, identified revenue leakage, occupancy, ADR, booking pace, rate activity, and sales follow-ups.
- Communicate professionally with management, front-desk employees, guests, and business accounts.
- Protect guest, payment, employee, and hotel information.
- Maintain dependable communication throughout scheduled working hours.

Required Qualifications
- At least two years of hands-on experience with a hotel PMS in night audit, income audit, reservations, front-office operations, revenue coordination, or hotel accounting.
- Direct experience reviewing hotel refunds, discounts, voids, adjustments, guest folios, and payment postings.
- Working knowledge of hotel reservations, room inventory, rate plans, occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR.
- Ability to identify financial discrepancies and explain the appropriate corrective action.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow written authorization limits.
- Strong spoken and written English.
- Reliable computer, secure high-speed internet, backup connectivity, and a private working environment.
- Ability to work a consistent schedule aligned with Mountain Time.
- Ability to maintain productivity and accountability without direct in-person supervision.
- Willingness to complete reference and background checks where legally permitted.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with, central reservation systems, channel managers, and OTA extranets.
- Previous experience as a hotel income auditor, night auditor, reservations supervisor, revenue coordinator, or hotel accounts specialist.
- Experience with an extended-stay, limited-service, or select-service hotel.
- Experience reconciling credit-card settlements and OTA virtual credit cards.
- Experience with corporate, construction-crew, relocation, or long-term-stay reservations.
- Familiarity with competitor-rate analysis and hotel revenue-management principles.

Authority and Approval Limits
- The specialist may correct documented administrative errors according to written procedures.
- Refunds and financial adjustments above certain limitrequire management approval.
- Room-rate changes must remain within approved minimum and maximum limits.
- Discounts, complimentary stays, refunds, group rates, and negotiated corporate rates outside established guidelines require approval.




- The specialist may not delete transaction records, alter audit history, share access credentials, or issue undocumented refunds.
- Every correction and price change must include the reason, requester, approver, date, and action taken.

Compensation and Annual Bonus
- Permanent full-time employment
- Base compensation - Depending on Experience
- Annual performance bonus - upto 200% of pay
- Bonus eligibility begins after - clearing threshold
- Bonus payment is based on documented performance and remains subject to company policy

Annual bonus measures may include:
- Transaction-audit accuracy
- Revenue leakage detected or prevented
- Timely completion of daily and weekly reviews
- Reservation and rate-entry accuracy
- Compliance with authorization procedures
- Sales-lead follow-up and conversion
- Hotel revenue, occupancy, or RevPAR performance
- Reliability, attendance, and data-security compliance

Performance Standards

Success will be evaluated using:

- Accuracy and completeness of transaction reviews
- Percentage of exceptions resolved within the required time
- Value of incorrect or unauthorized transactions detected
- Accuracy of rate and reservation entries
- Compliance with refund and rate-change approval limits
- Timeliness and usefulness of management reports
- Response time to assigned reservation inquiries
- Conversion of qualified inquiries into booked room nights
- Attendance, availability, and remote-work reliability
- Protection of guest and payment information

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 90 days, the specialist should be able to independently review daily PMS exception reports, identify questionable transactions, verify reservation rates, implement approved pricing changes, maintain complete documentation, follow up on sales opportunities, and provide management with a clear daily action report.

Candidate Assessment

Finalists will complete a paid practical assessment involving:

- Reviewing a mock PMS report containing refunds, voids, discounts, and adjustments.
- Identifying transactions requiring support or management approval.
- Auditing reservations for incorrect rates, taxes, discounts, and payment instructions.
- Recommending rate changes based on occupancy, booking pace, and competitor information.
- Writing a concise daily report for hotel management.
- Responding to an extended-stay sales inquiry.
- Demonstrating their remote-work setup and availability during Mountain Time hours.
