Job Summary
The Embroidery Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining embroidery machines to produce high-quality embroidered products. The role includes machine setup, hooping, thread management, quality inspection, routine maintenance, and achieving daily production targets while following safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate embroidery machines efficiently as per production plans.
- Set up machines, including loading designs, selecting needles, and assigning thread colours.
- Hoop garments and other materials accurately to ensure proper embroidery placement.
- Select and use the correct stabiliser and topping (Solvy) based on fabric type.
- Monitor machine performance during production and resolve minor issues such as thread breaks, needle breaks, and bobbin replacement.
- Conduct first-piece approval before bulk production.
- Inspect embroidered products for quality, alignment, thread tension, and finishing.
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure machines are kept in good working condition.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area.
- Follow production processes, safety guidelines, and quality standards at all times.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of computerized embroidery machine operation.
- Understanding of embroidery threads, needles, stabilisers, toppings, and different fabric types.
- Ability to read job sheets and embroidery specifications.
- Good attention to detail and quality orientation.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic machine and embroidery-related issues.
- Basic computer knowledge is an added advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production setting.
Qualifications
- Minimum: 10th/12th Pass or ITI.
- Certificate or formal training in embroidery is preferred.
Experience
- 1-3 years of experience operating computerized embroidery machines.
- Experience with machines such as Brother, Tajima, Barudan, Ricoma, or similar machines will be preferred.
Working Conditions
- Factory/Production environment in Bhiwandi.
- Standing for extended periods may be required.
- Rotational shifts and overtime, depending on production requirements.
- Use of appropriate PPE and adherence to workplace safety guidelines.
- Ability to work as part of a production team and meet defined daily targets.
