Must-Have Skills (Critical Expertise)
- Hands-on experience in AWS EKS cluster build and lifecycle management
- Robust understanding of Kubernetes architecture and components
- Solid experience in AWS infrastructure (VPC, IAM, EC2, Load Balancers)
- Working knowledge of: o Kubernetes networking concepts o Storage integration in Kubernetes environments o Cluster security fundamentals
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
- Hands-on exposure to Argo CD / GitOps frameworks
- Advanced EKS Security Hardening practices
- Experience with Kubernetes multi-tenancy models Ability to drive cross-team alignment and train Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage AWS EKS clusters for production-grade environments
- Design & Implement cluster networking (VPC, CNI, ingress/egress, service mesh exposure)
- Design and implement EKS networking architecture, supporting multiple networking plugins (e.g., VPC CNI, Calico, Cilium)
- Design and implement of multi-plugin storage architecture, including EBS,
EFS, and CSI-based solutions
- Design and implement Kubernetes multi-tenancy models (namespace-based, cluster-based, or hybrid)
- Design and enforce EKS security hardening standards, including: o IAM, IRSA, RBAC, and zero-trust principles o Network policies and pod-level security o Compliance and vulnerability management
- Enable multi-tenant Kubernetes environments with proper isolation and governance
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform
- Implement GitOps-based deployments using Argo CD or similar tools
- Collaborate with platform, DevOps, and SRE teams for scalable and resilient architecture
- Ensure observability, reliability, and performance of the platform Additional: EKS storage (EBS/EFS CSI drivers) EKS security hardening (IRSA, pod security) EKS multi-tenancy Argo CD / GitOps
