Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Uttarakhand, India for a Deputy Manager Production in the Starter Motor and Alternator segment. The role involves planning and supervising daily production activities to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets for starter motors and alternators.

Responsibilities include managing production lines, optimizing workflows, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and coordinating with maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.

The Deputy Manager

Production will monitor key performance indicators,



implement continuous improvement initiatives, support new product trials, and contribute to capacity planning and resource allocation. The role also includes leading and mentoring production staff, resolving operational issues, and preparing regular reports for management on production performance and improvement plans.

Qualifications

- Minimum 10 years of experience in production management within automotive or electrical components manufacturing, preferably in starter motor and alternator operations.
- Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile, Production, or a related engineering discipline.
- Strong skills in production planning, line balancing, and shop-floor supervision, with hands-on experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of automotive quality standards and systems (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO), and familiarity with quality tools such as 5S, Kaizen, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and process optimization to reduce waste and improve productivity.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and process documents related to starter motors and alternators.
- Proficiency in using production-related software and MS Office for reporting, data analysis, and documentation.
- Solid leadership, team management, and people development capabilities, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional activities.
