Job DescriptionWe are looking for a hands-on Drupal 11 Developer to work on a large-scale, customer-facing B2C healthcare platform.

The role involves developing and enhancing scalable, secure and high-performance web applications using Drupal 11 and Core PHP, building custom modules and integrations, and contributing to application performance, technical design and engineering improvements.

This is an opportunity for a strong developer who wants to work on complex digital platforms and grow toward Solution Design and Architecture.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain scalable web applications using Drupal 11.
- Build custom Drupal modules, plugins, services and themes.
- Develop robust backend functionality using Core PHP and OOP.
- Work with Drupal APIs including Entity API, Form API, Configuration API, Views, Plugins and Services/Dependency Injection.
- Design and integrate REST APIs and third-party services.
- Work with MySQL for database design, queries and optimisation.
- Implement and optimise Drupal caching and performance.
- Troubleshoot application and production issues and identify root causes.
- Contribute to website performance, Core Web Vitals, scalability and reliability.
- Follow secure development practices and implement appropriate authentication and authorisation mechanisms.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging and technical documentation.
- Use Git, Composer and Drush as part of the development workflow.
- Collaborate with QA, UI/UX, project teams, architects and client technical stakeholders.
- Participate in technical discussions and contribute to solution design and architectural decisions.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, debugging, code review and development productivity.

- 3+ years of hands-on Drupal development experience.
- 1+ year of current hands-on Drupal 11 experience.
- Strong proficiency in PHP and Object-Oriented Programming.
- Strong understanding of Drupal architecture and Drupal APIs.
- Experience developing custom Drupal modules and themes.
- Experience with Drupal Entities, Plugins, Services, Hooks, Views and Configuration Management.
- Experience with Composer and Drush.

APIs & • Database
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JSON and third-party integrations.
- Strong working knowledge of MySQL.
- Ability to write and optimise database queries.
- Understanding of API authentication and secure integrations.

Front End
- Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
- Experience with AJAX and responsive web development.
- Understanding of browser performance and Core Web Vitals.

Performance, Security & • Engineering
- Experience optimising Drupal applications for performance and scalability.
- Understanding of Drupal caching and performance optimisation techniques.
- Valuable understanding of web application security.
- Experience with Git and standard software development practices.
- Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to take ownership of technical tasks and deliver independently.

- Good verbal and written communication skills.
