Job Profile: DevSecOps Engineer

Location: Chennai, India

Preferred experience: 7-9 years The Role:

We are looking for an experienced DevSecOps Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Docker, container security, vulnerability management, CI/CD toolchains, IT infrastructure, and software development using Java, .NET, or Python. The role will focus on managing secure, production-ready, maintainable, and compliant Dockerimages while partnering with development teams across the globe and supporting the Cloud DevOps COE.

Responsibilities:

Docker, Container & Vulnerability Management

- Design, create, update, maintain, and secure technical, functional, and editor Docker images.
- Ensure Docker images meet required security, vulnerability, quality, and compliance standards.
- Manage the complete Docker image lifecycle, including versioning, maintenance, and retirement of obsolete images.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of supported images and communicate updates regularly to development teams.
- Identify security vulnerabilities and coordinate appropriate remediation actions.




- Ensure development practices remain aligned with security recommendations and organizational standards.

DevSecOps, Toolchain & CI/CD

- Update Docker image references where delegated by development teams and support application migration to approved images.
- Trigger and monitor CI/CD pipelines to validate updated Docker images and application compatibility.
- Verify the expected technical and functional behavior of applications following image updates.
- Support development, build, security scanning, and release activities across the DevSecOps lifecycle.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement, reliability, and security of the DevSecOps toolchain.

Development & Technical Support

- Apply software engineering best practices, including clean code, SOLID principles, maintainability, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with developers across global teams to understand requirements and achieve the expected security level.
- Provide fresh, supported, and secure Docker images for evolving development needs.
- Provide technical and functional support during development and deployment activities.
- Assist subsidiaries during partner onboarding activities.
- Act as a developer advocate by promoting secure development and DevSecOps best practices.

Collaboration & Reporting

- Participate in Agile ceremonies and work as an extended member of the corporate DevSecOps and Cloud

DevOps COE teams.




- Organize, prioritize, and track requests, vulnerabilities, image updates, and technical activities.
- Provide regular technical status updates and relevant KPIs to the Cloud DevOps COE team.
- Maintain and periodically publish the list of available and supported Docker images.
- Proactively alert development teams about obsolete images, security concerns, and required actions.
- Measure delivery quality and identify opportunities for process and performance improvement.

Must - Have Qualifications:

- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, software development, or related technical areas.
- Strong hands-on experience with Docker and Docker image management.
- Expert-level knowledge of security and vulnerability management.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD toolchains and software delivery processes.
- Good knowledge of IT infrastructure and application environments.
- Software development experience in Java, .NET, or Python.
- Strong understanding of secure software development and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience working in Agile teams and collaborating with distributed development teams.
- Ability to understand, explain, and support technical and organizational change.
- Ability to manage multiple technical activities and priorities effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Valuable written and verbal communication skills.
