About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with extensive experience in healthcare data analytics, SQL, and data modeling to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in analyzing complex healthcare datasets, supporting data integration efforts, and developing scalable cloud infrastructure. Your expertise will enable us to enhance our healthcare analytics capabilities, improve reporting accuracy, and support initiatives related to value-based care, population health, and operational efficiency.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including healthcare operations, clinical, finance, and compliance, to translate data insights into actionable business strategies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced data warehousing platforms like Snowflake and MySQL, and to contribute to innovative healthcare solutions that impact patient outcomes and organizational performance.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, healthcare analytics, or a related field, along with a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in US healthcare data analysis. Proficiency in SQL is essential, with a robust understanding of querying large-scale datasets including claims, eligibility, provider, utilization, and quality data.
Familiarity with data warehousing technologies such as Snowflake and MySQL, as well as modern data modeling principles, is required.
Experience in creating process workflows, data lineage diagrams, and system architecture documentation using tools like Microsoft Visio or draw.io is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex data insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. A solid understanding of healthcare business rules, metrics, and regulatory standards will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
As a Data Analyst specializing in healthcare, your primary responsibilities will include analyzing large healthcare datasets to generate meaningful reports and insights. You will write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data from relational databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Supporting data validation, reconciliation, and transformation processes will be key to delivering reliable reporting for business and regulatory compliance.
You will work closely with data engineering teams to facilitate data ingestion and integration from various source systems, such as claims processing platforms, provider systems, and eligibility feeds.
Your role will involve supporting analytics initiatives aimed at improving healthcare quality, operational efficiency, and population health management. Additionally, you will create comprehensive process flow diagrams, data lineage documentation, and system architecture visuals to standardize healthcare data workflows.
Collaborating with various stakeholders across healthcare operations, finance, clinical, and compliance teams,
you will translate complex healthcare data into clear, actionable insights. Presenting findings, trends, and strategic recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams will be part of your routine, ensuring data-driven decision-making across the organization.
