Summary
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. The role requires working with modern development frameworks and following agile methodologies to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient software that meets unique business requirements. Collaboration with different teams and continuous enhancement of software features are integral parts of the daily workflow, contributing to the overall success of projects and client satisfaction.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to identify and implement best practices within the team to improve software quality and delivery.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and enhance team capabilities.
- Build front-end screens using React, preferably with TypeScript.
- Develop reusable UI components for dashboards, event timelines, incident status, audit views, and configuration screens.
- Integrate with backend REST APIs exposed by Spring Boot / FastAPI services.
- Implement role-based UI behavior for support users, admins, business unit users,
and platform operators.
- Build UI workflows for event status tracking, agent decision review, incident approval, and manual override.
- Display Kafka event lifecycle status such as received, evaluated, decisioned, ticketed, failed, and replayed.
- Implement form validation, error handling, loading states, and user-friendly notifications.
- Work closely with QA to support Playwright / Selenium UI test automation.
- Ensure UI is aligned to enterprise UX, accessibility, and branding standards.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in React.js.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of component-based architecture and state management in modern web applications.
- Experience with front-end development tools and workflows including version control systems.
- Ability to optimize application performance and ensure responsiveness across devices.
- Familiarity with integrating APIs and working with asynchronous data handling.
- Strong hands-on experience in React.
- Good knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.
- Experience integrating with REST APIs.
- Understanding of authentication flows such as OAuth2 / OIDC / SSO.
- Experience with state management such as Redux, Zustand, Context API, or equivalent.
- Experience building dashboard-style enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with UI test automation using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
- Exposure to Guidewire, insurance operations, incident management, or ServiceNow.
- Experience building operational control tower dashboards.
- Familiarity with Kafka event status visualization.
- Exposure to observability dashboards and audit trail UIs.
Additional Information
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in React.js.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
