Cost Accountant – Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and maintain SKU-wise product costing for all brands and pack sizes.
- Update standard cost, BOMs, and manufacturing cost structures.
- Monitor raw material, packaging material, utility, and conversion costs.
- Analyze production losses, wastages, and efficiency metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure accurate valuation and accounting of Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, WIP, Finished Goods, and Stores & Spares.
- Conduct monthly inventory reconciliations and investigate variances.
- Review material, yield, labor, utility, and overhead variances against standards and budgets.
- Provide corrective action recommendations to management.
- Prepare SKU-wise, brand-wise, state-wise, and plant-wise profitability reports.
- Support pricing, rebate,



and commercial decision-making.
- Assist in preparation of manufacturing budgets and cost forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and explain deviations.
- Generate monthly cost MIS, inventory reports, COGS analysis, and brewery performance dashboards.
- Present cost-related insights to Finance Leadership.
- Maintain cost centers, product costing data, and inventory-related master data.
- Ensure accurate costing transactions within SAP.
- Support internal audits, statutory audits, and cost audits.
- Ensure compliance with Cost Accounting Standards, Ind AS, Companies Act, and company policies.
