Role Description The Construction Planner is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune District. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining construction schedules, coordinating with project teams to align timelines, and monitoring progress against project plans.
The Construction
Planner collaborates with engineering, procurement, and site construction personnel to optimize resource allocation, manage dependencies, and identify risks or delays. Day-to-day activities include preparing planning documents and reports, updating project control systems, analyzing schedule performance,
and supporting decision-making to keep projects on time and within scope. The role also involves ensuring compliance with safety standards and company procedures while contributing to continuous improvement of planning practices.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Construction Planning and Project Planning skills, including schedule development, resource planning, and milestone tracking.
- Candidates should possess Project Control capabilities, such as progress monitoring, variance analysis, and reporting using planning and control tools.
- Candidates should possess Procurement and Construction coordination skills to align material availability, contractor activities, and execution timelines.
- Relevant experience in industrial, power, or process plant projects, preferably in sectors such as energy, refinery, petrochemical, or heavy industry.
- Proficiency in project planning software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and solid MS Office skills.
- Diploma or degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related field) or equivalent technical qualification.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, with effective written and verbal communication.
- Knowledge of safety standards, quality practices, and basic contract or commercial awareness is beneficial.
