Concept Designer – Design & Build

Job Summary:

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Concept Designer to develop innovative design concepts for workplace and commercial interior projects. The role involves understanding client requirements, developing design concepts, creating visual presentations and coordinating with the design and project teams to take concepts from ideation to execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand client briefs, project requirements, brand guidelines and design objectives.
- Develop concepts, design narratives, mood boards and visual directions for projects.
- Prepare initial space planning, zoning and design layouts.
- Develop material, colour, furniture, lighting and finish concepts.
- Create 3D visualisations, renders and presentation decks to communicate design ideas.
- Present concepts to clients and incorporate feedback into design iterations.
- Ensure concepts are creative, functional, practical and aligned with project budgets.
- Coordinate with Architects, Interior Designers, MEP, Project Managers and other stakeholders.
- Support the transition from concept design to detailed design and execution.
- Research current trends, materials,



workplace design solutions and innovative design approaches.
- Conduct site visits and understand existing site conditions wherever required.

Required Skills:

- Solid creative and conceptual design ability.
- Good understanding of workplace interiors and commercial design.
- Strong knowledge of space planning, materials, finishes, furniture and lighting.
- Good visualisation and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate design concepts clearly to clients and internal teams.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max/Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator, Enscape/V-Ray or similar tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work within timelines.
- Strong attention to detail and design sensibility.

Education

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates from Design & Build, Workplace Interiors, Commercial Interiors or Architecture firms with a strong portfolio demonstrating concept development, space planning, mood boards, 3D visualisation and client presentations will be preferred.
