Job Title: Communications Intern

Organisation: Collaborative Philanthropy Foundation (CPF)

Location: New Delhi

Duration: 3–6 months

Role Overview The Communications & Content Intern will support CPF’s communications and programme teams across content creation, social media, report writing, and visual communication. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both writing and designing and wants hands-on exposure to how communication supports an NGO’s programmes, knowledge products, and stakeholder engagement.

The intern will work across different formats—from social media posts and reports to presentations, newsletters, and communication collaterals—helping translate complex information into explicit, accessible, and engaging content.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll work on multiple types of communication and content outputs, including but not limited to:

1. Social Media & Digital Content

- Developing content for LinkedIn and other relevant social media platforms
- Writing captions, post copy, campaign content, and short-form communication
- Supporting the planning and maintenance of social media content calendar
- Creating social media creatives, carousels, infographics, and simple visual assets
- Identifying relevant themes, sector developments, events, and stories for content opportunities

2. Reports, Knowledge & Documentation

- Supporting the writing, editing, and formatting of reports, impact stories, case studies, and knowledge products
- Converting programme information and research findings into clear and reader-friendly content
- Assisting with annual reports, programme reports,



donor-facing documents, and one-pagers
- Proofreading and fact-checking content before publication
- Supporting the documentation of events, workshops, programmes, and organisational initiatives

3. Graphic Design & Visual Communication

- Designing LinkedIn posts, carousels, infographics, presentations, and other communication materials
- Creating simple visual representations of data, insights, and programme information
- Adapting existing CPF templates and maintaining consistency with the organisation’s visual identity
- Supporting the design of reports, brochures, presentations, and other knowledge products
- Working with Canva and/or Adobe tools to develop polished communication assets

4. Content Research & Development

- Conducting desk research to support content development
- Researching relevant topics related to philanthropy, NGOs, CSR, nonprofit governance, and the social sector
- Supporting the development of content ideas, story angles, and communication themes
- Organising information and synthesising inputs from different programme teams into usable content

5. Website & Other Communication Channels

- Supporting content creation and updates for CPF’s website and NGO portal
- Developing website copy,



banners, graphics, and other basic communication assets
- Assisting with newsletters, email communication, event announcements, and other stakeholder-facing materials

6. Creative & Communications Coordination

- Working closely with communications and programme teams to understand requirements
- Coordinating with different team members to collect information, inputs, and approvals
- Incorporating feedback and managing multiple versions of content and creatives
- Supporting communication requirements for events, campaigns, partnerships, and organisational initiatives
- Managing timelines and ensuring communication outputs are delivered accurately and on time

Skills & Requirements

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good command of English, with strong grammar and proofreading skills
- Ability to write clearly, concisely, and adapt content for different audiences
- Proficiency in Canva; familiarity with Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop is an advantage
- Basic understanding of graphic design, layout, typography, and visual hierarchy
- Ability to convert complex or dense information into simple, engaging content
- Good research, documentation, and information-synthesis skills
- Comfortable working across both writing and design tasks
- Attention to detail and openness to feedback
- Interest in social impact, NGOs, philanthropy, and purpose-led work
