WE’RE HIRING: CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT / CHIEF ACCOUNTANT

Paras Chemicals is looking for an experienced Chartered Accountant to oversee taxation, statutory compliance, accounting controls and financial planning for the firm and related entities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Prepare and file income-tax returns for approximately eight individuals and business entities, including non-audit businesses
- Prepare and file all applicable TDS returns
- Prepare and file all applicable TCS returns
- Prepare, review and file GST returns, including GSTR-1 and other applicable returns
- Review accounting entries made by staff in Tally and enter entries wherever required
- Train and guide accounting staff on correct accounting and compliance practices
- Identify and rectify errors in accounting entries, ledgers and reconciliations
- Handle notices, queries and correspondence issued by the Income Tax, GST and other government departments
- Prepare replies and supporting documentation for departmental notices
- Manage GST annual returns and reconciliations, including GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C
- Review books of accounts and ensure timely statutory compliance




- Provide financial consultation, tax-planning advice and regular management discussions
- Advise management on tax efficiency, compliance risks and financial controls

WORKING ARRANGEMENT

- Office attendance required for 8 days per month, approximately twice a week
- Minimum commitment of 25 hours per month
- Office visits and meetings to be completed before 6:00 PM
- Additional availability may be required during return-filing deadlines, audits or departmental notices

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

- Qualified Chartered Accountant — mandatory
- Solid practical knowledge of Income Tax, GST, TDS and TCS
- Experience handling departmental notices and compliance matters
- Good working knowledge of Tally Prime
- Ability to review and supervise the work of accounting staff
- Strong understanding of taxation, financial controls and tax planning
- Prior experience advising trading, distribution or family-owned businesses will be preferred
- Responsible, detail-oriented and capable of independently managing deadlines
